If the weather permits, take a stroll down to the Water of Leith and be transported to the enchanting Dean Village. Only 5 minutes from Princes Street, Dean Village dates back to the 12th century, originally known as the Water of Leith Village. Once a bustling milling community, this cherished beauty spot is now a residential area, filled with picturesque architecture. In the centre of Dean Village stands the Well Court, an unmissable building with a clock tower that formerly housed the mill workers in the 1880s. It’s truly the perfect spot to experience the tranquillity of Edinburgh.
