This website (www.scotchwhiskyexperience.co.uk) (the “Site”) is maintained by Primate on behalf of The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre Ltd (“we”, “us”). Access to and use of this Site is subject always to the following terms and conditions. By using this Site you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and you agree to abide by them. The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre Ltd reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by amending this page of the Site. Some of the provisions contained in these terms and conditions may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on the Site. It is your responsibility to review these terms and conditions regularly to keep up to date with any changes to them.
Information About Us and Disclaimers
This Site is operated by The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre Ltd. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC100141, and have our registered office at 354 Castlehill, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, EH1 2NE.
This Site is subject to regular update and revision. While we attempt to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all material posted on the Site, we take no responsibility for errors or omissions which are the result of circumstances outside our control, technical causes, or otherwise, nor will we be liable if for any reason our Site is unavailable at any time or for any period. We maintain the right to delete or modify the content, presentation, performance, facilities and availability of all or part of this Site without notice.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our Site, the server on which our Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our Site. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. These websites and their contents are not endorsed or promoted by us in any way, unless otherwise stated. The intellectual property in our Site, and all material published on this Site, unless specifically indicated otherwise, is owned by (or licensed to) The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre Ltd and must not be reproduced in any medium save as provided in terms of this paragraph. You may view the Site and download any part of it to a personal computer so that you can view it for private purposes. None of the material, nor its content, nor any copy of it, may be altered in any way, transmitted to, or distributed to any other party without our express prior written permission in each case.
ONLINE TICKETING TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Ticket holders must arrive at the Scotch Whisky Experience (SWE) ticket desk at least 10 minutes prior to the time printed on the ticket. Should you miss your allocated time entry cannot be guaranteed.
2. Your booking reference must be produced as proof of booking on the day of the visit.
3. Payments for tickets are non-refundable.
4. Tickets can be rescheduled by emailing info@scotchwhiskyexperience.co.uk Monday to Friday 0900 – 1700. Tickets cannot be rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice.
5. All persons taking the SWE Tour must purchase a ticket. Tickets must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required.
6. Any tickets purchased in advance are not valid in conjunction with any other voucher, promotion, special offer or package.
7. No ticket may be resold. If SWE reasonably believes that a ticket has been resold, the holder may be refused entry to the SWE Tour without payment of compensation.
8. Prices may be subject to change, however all pre booked tickets will be honoured at the rate applied at the time of purchase.
9. A child is aged between 6 and 17 inclusive. An adult is aged 18 years and over. A senior citizen is aged 60 years and over. Young children aged 5 and under go free. A student is aged 18 years or over and in full time education. In all cases proof of age must be provided.
10. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18 years or over at all times.
11. To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being taken into the Tour Experience, all visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched.
12. In accordance with Scottish Law smoking is strictly prohibited.
13. Pets and animals are prohibited with the exception of assistance dogs
14. As a licensed premises the SWE retains the right at its discretion to refuse entry.
15. SWE will endeavour to ensure that the tour experience is open for use by visitors. However, SWE reserves the right, in its discretion, for safety, maintenance or otherwise to close any part of the experience with or without prior notice. In the event of such closure SWE will issue visitors with a full refund for their ticket, but otherwise shall have no liability whatever, including no liability for travel or out of pocket expenses in respect of closure or cancellation.

Global Toast Campaign – The Scotch Whisky Experience
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to any video submission provided by you to The Scotch Whisky Experience for use in the Global Toast Campaign. By submitting a video, You agree to these Terms.
If You do not agree, please do not submit any content.
2. Purpose of Collection
Your Submission may be used as part of the Global Toast Campaign, celebrating whisky enthusiasts around the world. Submissions may appear across:
– The Scotch Whisky Experience’s website
– Social media channels connected to the campaign
– Digital advertising
– PR materials
– Internal communications
3. Grant of Rights (Licence)
By submitting your video, You grant The Scotch Whisky Experience a worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive, transferable, and irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, modify, publish, display, distribute, share, sub‑license, and create derivative works from your Submission, in perpetuity, and in any media now known or later developed.
You also consent to the use of your name, image, voice, likeness, and performance as captured in your Submission.
4. Ownership & Permissions
You confirm that:
- You created and own the Submission, OR have full rights to submit it.
- You have obtained permission from all identifiable individuals featured.
- The Submission does not infringe copyright or any third‑party rights.
- No copyrighted audio, visuals, or third‑party assets are used without permission.
- The Submission does not include private, confidential, or commercially sensitive information.
You agree to indemnify The Scotch Whisky Experience against any claims arising from breach of the above.
5. Content Standards
Your Submission must not include:
– irresponsible representations of alcohol use
– content unsuitable for audiences below legal drinking age
– third‑party copyrighted materials without permission
– confidential or personal information about others
We may refuse or remove any Submission at Our discretion.
6. No Compensation
You understand that You will not receive any payment or compensation for your Submission or its use.
7. Data Protection & Privacy (UK GDPR)
The Scotch Whisky Experience will process your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data may include:
– your name
– your contact information
– your likeness, voice, or identifiable features
– any personal information present in the video
It will be used only for:
– managing your Submission
– validating permissions
– producing and promoting the Global Toast Campaign

8. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent for future use by contacting Us.
Important notes:
– Withdrawal applies only to future use.
– Previously published or distributed material cannot be recalled.
– We will take reasonable steps to stop future use.
9. Rights to Edit, Modify, or Remove Content
We may edit Submissions to ensure:
– consistency with campaign branding
– compliance with legal or safety requirements
– suitability for different media formats
– clarity, cropping, sound adjustments, or length changes
We may remove or decline any Submission without explanation.
10. Eligibility
By submitting a video, You confirm:
– You are 18 or older, or above your local legal drinking age
– Anyone appearing in the Submission is of legal drinking age
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scotch Whisky Experience is not liable for:
– losses or damages arising from your Submission
– misuse of published content by third parties
– technical failures during upload or transfer
These Terms do not limit liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms apply from the date of publication.

The Scotch Whisky Experience

ONLINE BOOKING – SCOTCH WHISKY TRAINING SCHOOL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Attendees must arrive at the Scotch Whisky Experience (SWE) in time for the training to begin promptly at 09:00.
2. Payments for bookings are non-refundable.
3. Bookings may be rescheduled by contacting info@scotchwhiskyexperience.co.uk during business hours (Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00). Rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days in advance.
4. Advance bookings are not valid in conjunction with any other vouchers, promotions, special offers or packages.
5. Prices are subject to change, however all confirmed bookings will be honoured at the rate applied at the time of purchase.
6. The Scotch Whisky Training School is open to individuals aged 18 years and over only.
7. SWE operates a Challenge 25 policy. Attendees should bring official photo ID to verify age.
8. To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being brought into the building, all visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched.

In such cases, a full refund will be issued for the ticket. SWE is not liable for any additional costs, including travel or other expenses.
