You’ll find our Whisky Bar conveniently located right next to Amber Restaurant. Come in and enjoy a dram before or after dinner, or simply enjoy sitting in one of Edinburgh’s best stocked whisky bars. With over 450 whiskies on offer, including single malt, blended, single grain and whisky liqueurs, you’ll find new derivations and limited editions of well loved brands as well as hidden gems.

Our single malts are from the five whisky regions – Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay. No other whisky bar takes their patrons from whisky novice to whisky devotee the way Amber does. Our welcoming and highly trained advisors are on hand to help guests find their perfect dram. We often have rare or limited bottlings and new releases to try before they are snapped up.

Whisky and food are perfect partners, and Scotland’s national drink goes particularly well with the flavoursome, mouth-coating qualities of cheese, chocolate and our Chef’s own tapas. We have a range of selected whisky tasting flights available which can be matched with these delicious foods.

Whisky Collections

Not sure what to try? We curate a special selection of Scotch whiskies each month from our extensive menu. With different collections to choose from, your tasting collection could include single malts from the five key regions, or why not try a whisky liqueur, a blended Scotch and a luxury whisky if you're feeling indulgent? Collections often include last chance to try, rare or limited bottlings. Our expert staff can help you select the perfect collection for you. Please note, a collection includes four drams.

Whiskies of the Month

Each month, our team select 'Whiskies of the Month.' You will see the whiskies advertised outside our building, at the Amber Bar and on our Instagram channel at the start of the month. Usually the chosen whiskies have a theme and the team have a bit of fun coming up with the range to offer. There's always regional malts, a blend and sometimes a luxury and mature malt to choose from!
