This 50 year old release from Glenfiddich is the pinnacle of this distillery's whisky making. The two casks used to create this edition spent the last fifty years resting in Glenfiddich's Warehouse 8. This much saught after release has been bottled, at 46.1%abv., in uniquely hand-blown, and individually numbered bottles, which have been topped with a silver stopper produced by sixth-generation silversmith, Thomas Fattorini.
Glenfiddich 50 Year Old 70cl
Delicate floral notes intertwined with green tobacco leaf and oak, with a subtle hint of smoke on the nose. The palate is initially sweet with zesty orange marmalade and vanilla toffee. Further floral notes, soft fruits and oaky tannin combine with hints of gentle smoke. A long, dry oaky finish is joined by the merest trace of peat.
