Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2008 70cl

Price: £73.00

Bere is Britain’s oldest strain of cultivated cereal which produces a low yield of tough grains. The results speak for themselves. Bere gives us a whisky of notably viscous texture, with a finesse and elegance unexpected in a younger spirit.

Matured in American oak

Unpeated – 50% ABV

Tasting notes:

Bere is Britain’s oldest strain of cultivated cereal and in this release from Bruichladdich the bere delivers more fruit and malty notes on the nose.  Lots of green fruits – apples, gooseberries and pears with a malty, honeyed smoothness leading to a dry finish.

Flavour profile:

  • Fresh Fruits
  • Cereal
