Kingsman gets a royal welcome...
Our onsite Scotch Whisky Shop – which has gained a reputation among collectors and whisky enthusiasts across the world for rare and exclusive bottlings from Scotch whisky distilleries – was one of just a few Edinburgh whisky retailers to be selected to sell the new release from Highland distillery GlenDronach.
Following a huge response to the Scotch Shop’s post about the new bottle on social media (via Twitter and Instagram), The Scotch Whisky Experience’s allocation of this limited-edition bottling sold out in just a few hours on the day of release.
“It’s great to see the impact that social media can have on the reach and sales in the shop” said Paula Arthur, Retail Manager at the Scotch Whisky Experience. “We’ve become known in Scotland for our evolving profile of truly special limited-edition whiskies from large and small distilleries across the country – many of which draw crowds in their own right – so it’s great to see this reputation reflected in our growing social following, too.”
The GlenDronach Kingsman 1991 Edition was produced by the distillery in collaboration with Matthew Vaughn, the director of the second instalment of the stylish spy agency series, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, released today (20th September). The film follows the continued adventures of protagonist Eggsy, with the Kingsman Edition’s 1991 vintage chosen to reflect Eggsy’s birth year.
