Whisky Tastings at the Scotch Whisky Experience
All of our public tours include the opportunity to taste Scotch Whisky.

Scotch Whisky Experience tours and private tutored Whisky tastings (2 hours)
You begin with a fully-guided Whisky tour (Silver Tour) to discover the background to Scotland's national drink. You are then guided through the tasting by our professionally-trained staff in one of our private function rooms.
Our Sensory Perception Quiz helps break the ice and raise the team spirit, with prizes for the most accurate answers to an aroma test. Our whisky expert then shows your guests how to nose and taste four single malt whiskies from each of Scotland's four main Whisky-producing regions: Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay.
Guests are tutored through the five stages of appreciating Scotch Whisky: colour, body, nose, palate and finish. The Whiskies chosen illustrate regional differences, wood finishes, differing ages of maturation and methods of production.

Private tutored Whisky tastings at other venues (1 hour)
We can also hold private Whisky tastings at a venue of your choice. The format of such events can be tailored to your individual requirements. The tasting works best with everyone seated at tables with space in front of each guest for our whisky tasting tray to hold the four Single Malt Whiskies. We can communicate directly with the venue to make all arrangements to ensure the most suitable room set-up. Minimum group size is 10 guests.

Informal Whisky tastings
Informal Whisky tastings work very well for large groups. On these occasions we organise several tables manned by knowledgeable members of our Whisky team. At each station we have a different Single Malt Whisky (four malts in total to represent the four main Whisky-producing regions of Scotland).
The tasting begins with an introduction on how to nose and taste the Whiskies, as well as a description of the Whiskies available. Your guests are then free to nose and taste each of the four Single Malt Whiskies at their leisure, with instruction from each of our experts. A tasting also makes an excellent option for a corporate or conference drinks reception.
